Privacy Policy
WorthScene keeps as little about you as it can. This page says exactly what it keeps, who else touches it, and how to take it back.
What we store
- Account — your email address, and a name or avatar only if you gave one to your sign-in provider.
- Your list — the titles you saved, whether each is watched or shelved, which episodes you ticked off, and when you added them.
- Region — the two-letter country you watch from. Seeded once from the country your first request arrived from, and changeable at any time.
- Notifications — the alerts we generated for you, and the browser push endpoints you opted in with.
There is no advertising, no analytics profile, and no third-party tracker on this site.
Why we are allowed to
We process this to perform the service you asked for (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b); LGPD Art. 7, II). Push notifications additionally rest on the consent your browser asked you for, which you can withdraw in your browser at any time.
Who processes it
- Clerk — Accounts and sign-in. Email address, name and avatar if you supply one, sign-in times. Privacy policy.
- Convex — Database. Your watchlist, watched episodes, notifications, region and push endpoints. Privacy policy.
- Vercel — Hosting. Request logs, including IP address and approximate country. Privacy policy.
- TMDB — Film and show data. The titles you search for and open. Never your account or your list. Privacy policy.
- OMDb — IMDB scores. Title identifiers only, fetched by a scheduled job. Nothing about you. Privacy policy.
These providers run outside your country, so your data is transferred internationally. Each operates under its own published safeguards, linked above.
How long we keep it
Your list stays until you remove it or delete your account. Notification history is kept so the same alert is not sent twice. Operational job logs are deleted after 30 days.
Your rights
- Export — download everything we hold about you as JSON, from Settings. No request needed.
- Deletion — deleting your account from your account menu erases your list, your push endpoints, your notifications and your settings from our database. This is automatic and permanent.
- Correction and objection — write to us at the address below.
You may also complain to your local data protection authority — the ANPD in Brazil, or your national authority in the EU or UK.
